Order your New Years Catering with us! SOLD OUT

For a number of years, we offered New Years catering through Manfreds. We made it with the intent of mixing up the old New Years classics with what was the green and simple cooking of Manfreds.
And of course, the tartar had to be there as well.

As we closed Relæ and Manfreds in 2020 the intention was to bring our gained experience with us to Guldbergsgade and offer it from BÆST instead. Unfortunately, the various lockdowns wouldn’t let us and in two year we never managed to launch it. Now though, we have had both the time and the resources to plan for something that can mix both the BÆST philosophy and what most people wish for for New Years, cod, beef and nice dessert.
And of course, the tartar has to be there as well. 🙂

This year’s menu starts off with a cod carpaccio, briefly “cooked” in lemon juice and sprinkled with pickled pine shoots that give a fresh and balsamic aroma to the soft texture of the fish. If one does not wish for fish we will do the same dish with baked celeriac instead.

Next up is fresh pasta made at Mirabelle with lobster, fennel and a buttery sauce. Very simple and easy to finalize and plate at home. Vegetarians will have the pleasure of enjoying cauliflower and browned butter with their fettuccine.

The showstopper comes next, our handmade Burrata with truffles and mushrooms.

For main course we have prepared organic beef with confit pumpkin and pumpkin purè. The meat just needs a moment in the oven and to be garnished with a delicious sauce with bone marrow. On the side you will be serving a kale and bergamotte salad.
The vegetarians will enjoy a beet steak instead of the meat on this one.

The dessert is a zesty and fresh mousse of pistachio and passionfruit that I have created with Anna, our pastrychef at Mirabelle.

We have also thought about your hang over the day after. Exclusively for our take away guests for new years we have made a frozen pizza for you to take home and enjoy the day after. You simply have to reheat it and enjoy. I wont say it is as good as the one at BÆST – but it is pretty damn close…:-)
